We believe that the future of transportation is automated. Automated travel will be safer, more comfortable, more efficient and a powerful economic enabler for our communities. However, automating driving is a massively complex engineering challenge, requiring vehicles to navigate social norms, regional traffic patterns, unpredictable weather incidents, and a host of anomalous events. While billions of dollars have already been spent trying to solve this problem, a comprehensive answer remains frustratingly elusive. We believe that the final answer lies with roadway infrastructure.

Join us in building the roads of the future. Cavnue, which recently announced the closing of its Series A at $130M, is bridging technology and road infrastructure to realize a safer, more efficient, and more accessible future for automated transportation. Cavnue’s experienced team sits at the intersection of technology, infrastructure, and government—working together to develop and deploy the world’s most advanced roads. We are incorporating physical and digital infrastructure that unlock the full spectrum of capabilities of current and future automated vehicle technologies. We believe in a world in which road infrastructure shares in the complexity of autonomy and, instead of being another problem to solve for, becomes a core part of the solution.

The Role:

We are hiring a Project Delivery Manager, focused on trucking and drayage, to advance the early-stage design, development, and delivery of these freight infrastructure solutions. This role will work at the intersection of Cavnue’s Product and Business Development teams – coordinating with road operators, fleet owners, and automated trucking companies to realize technology-enabled infrastructure that enhances freight safety and efficiency.

Role Overview:

  • Operational analysis and on-site coordination
    • Work with Cavnue, road operators, fleet owners, and automated trucking companies to develop concepts of operations – defining how different components of an advanced supply chain interact with one another
    • Serve as Cavnue’s “boots on the ground” for potential drayage projects, working closely and building relationships in person with external stakeholders
  • Economic analysis
    • Develop demand forecasts for the movement of freight on Cavnue infrastructure
    • Build cost models on freight economics and opportunities to improve efficiency
    • Work with Business Development to inform financial models for Cavnue assets
  • Product support
    • Support the Product team by identifying user needs and refining Cavnue’s solutions for autonomous fleets and road operators

  • BA or equivalent degree
  • 7-10 years of work experience in the trucking and transportation industry, ideally with expertise in intermodal drayage
  • Meaningful exposure to logistics operations and strategy, with fluency in supply chain solutions and stakeholders
  • Outstanding conceptual, analytical, quantitative, and creative problem-solving skills – including a strong aptitude for financial and / or economic analysis
  • Ability to travel >25% of the time in order to serve as an on-site resource for Cavnue projects
  • Ability to come down a steep learning curve quickly and differentiate critical details from noise (80/20)
  • Strong presence and communication skills, verbal and written
  • Experience interfacing with senior executives (internal or external)

We are building an incredible team of employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences. We believe that great work can occur anywhere and are open to considering candidates who meet our needs who reside outside our geographic footprint. We also value the impact that can result from co-located teams and some roles may require regular presence in one of our offices.
