In this role, you will lead Cavnue’s hardware New Product Introduction (NPI) programs from early prototype through manufacturing and launch, ensuring quality and schedule compliance in all phases of the program. You will work with a world-class team of engineers, operations, and business leaders to help deliver on Cavnue’s mission. Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day and lead coordination of hardware NPI programs 
  • Own NPI manufacturing activities and metrics: end-to-end management of manufacturing builds, production targets, resource planning and allocation
  • Align teams across the product and technology organization around design trade-offs, requirements, test, release, and validation plans for successful on-time launches
  • Develop strong collaborations with internal and external stakeholders as we ramp up production
  • Proactively identify and implement new processes and systems for manufacturing engineering, quality, and operations
  • Manage manufacturing partners selection and operations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of combined experience in program management, NPI manufacturing, hardware development
  • Experience launching hardware products
  • Self-motivated, creative, and proactive to drive tight schedules and work in fast-paced environments
  • Be hands-on and wear multiple hats during R&D and prototype phases
  • Proficiency with project management tools, software, and best practices. Detailed knowledge of product development lifecycle
  • Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills. Strong focus on execution
  • Data driven and analytical approach to solving problems and creating successful plans
  • Experience with optical sensors R&D and manufacturing processes
  • Experience managing contract manufacturers and suppliers
  • Ability to drive cross-functional teams and technical discussions/design reviews
  • Experience interfacing with Operations, ME/EE Design, Supply Chain, CMs and OEM partners
  • Early-stage start-up experience is a plus
